Since we never chose to go forward with this song we never attempted again at receiving a reply since the first email was never replied.
Once we decided on the indie rock we chose the song Do I Wanna Know? which is by Arctic Monkeys. We emailed Domino Records.
This was our first email sent to Domino Records, the copyright holders of the song (Do I Wanna Know?) we are planning to create a music video to. It outlined what the purpose of the music video is, who it will it be viewed by and of course the song we are hoping to be able to use, then going on to request to be able to use the song for educational purposes.
Following our email to Domino Records we received a reply from a company representative. It was requesting for 4 things to be sent back to them; names of all the students in our group, the school address, the dates of the start and the end of the academic year and a synopsis of our production.
The emails that you have included within this post, helps to show your understanding of the feedback that you and your group received from your record label. However, you also need to explain why you had to apply for music copyright, which will enable you to extend your knowledge further.
